Meet Steffen Hansen – Field Service Technician at Renta

Introduction
Steffen Hansen has been part of the Renta team for 15 years as a field service technician. With a background as a mechanic specializing in trucks and tractors, he began his career at another company in the industry, where he worked for 16 years before joining Renta.

Career Journey
“I learned about the opportunity at Renta through my younger brother,” Steffen recalls. “Renta had a strong reputation for service and quality, and several of my former colleagues had already joined the company and spoke highly of it.”

A Day in the Life
Steffen starts his workday bright and early, leaving home at 5 a.m. He travels to construction sites, providing service and repairs for Renta’s equipment. His favorite tasks involve working on earthmoving machinery like dumpers and excavators. “I get a task, solve it independently, and ensure the customer is back in action quickly,” he explains.

What He Loves About His Job
Steffen is proud of the work he does and finds joy in it every day. “I’m happy with everything I do. I come home every day with a sense of satisfaction,” he says. His ability to deliver high-quality service and build trust with customers makes his work rewarding.

Growth and Challenges
Over the years, Steffen has seen his tasks become increasingly technical. “The equipment is more advanced now, but Renta ensures we stay up to date with ongoing training from suppliers,” he notes.

Team Spirit and Culture
Steffen emphasizes the strong camaraderie among colleagues. “You can always trust your team, and that’s important,” he says. He also appreciates Renta’s effort to include employees’ families through social events, which he describes as “special.”

Advice to Future Technicians
When asked about advice for potential employees, Steffen’s answer is clear: “Go for it! The industry is constantly evolving, and you get to work with a variety of tasks and equipment.”

Life Outside of Work
In his free time, Steffen enjoys crossfit, running, and spending time with his family. “There’s a great balance between work and personal life, and I completely disconnect when I’m at home,” he says.

Looking Ahead
Steffen envisions himself continuing in his role as long as his body allows it. “I’m happy doing what I do, and I want to keep going for as long as I can,” he concludes.
